This blog is to keep customers of Penman hats up to date with new products and estimated wait times for my handmade/custom fedoras. I also want to use this blog to better inform people entering the world of fine crafted hats. If you have any question, please feel free to ask them here.

moving the hat shop
I will be moving the hat shop over the next few days. My address will not change at all because Im moving into a slightly larger space just two doors down in the same building. Owner is letting me change the suite numbers so only the location will be different. With the new space I will have more room to work and the space is better suited for what I need for the hat shop. The move shouldn't slow production down because I will be using the weekend to help stay on time. I'll keep everyone posted.

Lead time update 10/21/10
I just finished up the last few orders that were due for October. I'm working on getting the last of there-blocks and touching a couple of orders that are due for November. Moving along nicely right now and a bit early for a couple.

Tip of the day
Sweatband fitting tight. Unfold the sweatband and lightly wet the backside or inside of the sweatband. Trying not to get anything else wet. Fold the sweatband back into place. Put in your jack/stand or what ever jack you have. Let sit over night. Then take off of the jack. Then lightly treat with leather care product.

hat tip of the day
When riding in a elevator, it's good manners to take off your hat if you can. A must if there is a lady is in the elevator. Take a little common sence and not worry if your hands are full with packages and you are unable to remove your hat during the ride.
